I can't even imagine working for them. Getting this stuff at cost? My head would explode. I particularly like this alabaster-ish sconce. And the chair. And the mirror. Pretty much everything on their site.

What happened to that wonderful post you did on that poem about the man and his dog and kicking over garbage pails and travelling across state lines with the smell of the heater and standing in front of the refrigerator dreaming....well I am really ad libbing. I don't ususally read poetry, but yours came up on my google reader then I went to your blog to post a comment and it is gone. I am devasted. Bring it back. It touched something inside of me.

Every now and then something makes me think of those last five lines and the words just get stuck in my throat. I think it's such a perfect poem for people who don't like poetry because the dog device is so silly and disarming, but his quiet desperation is so real. You get sucked into this serious idea that so much of life is about things we don't want and we have to figure out how to like it.

As far as contemporary poetry goes, this is all you need. So much incredible stuff; you will read it and think, holy fuck I am barely living. (In a good way.) Collectively, these poets are really living, or at least, the do the *feelling* of living more justice than we bother to.
