What's next for travel:

Montenegro
BudgetTravel.com

Great photos and article here in Budget Travel magazine.

You know, I mever went anywhere until I was 30. It was just a few weeks until my birthday and I thought, crap, how provincial am I? I didn't even have a current passport. I bought tickets, got an emergency passport, and the fiance and I landed in the city of lights on my 30th birthday (last year, for anyone keeping track). Now I want to go everywhere. Argentina and Uruguay were this year. And next year it's either Montenegro, Turkey, or Italy.

What's on your list? Where does everyone want to go? What's your favorite place to go on vacation?

I love Spain and the Amalfi coast is on my list as the next trip. Quebec is beautiful in the autumn!

Oh, the Amalfi... I am dyng to go. DYING. And people say Capri is too touristy now, but I still want to go. I hear Hotel Eva in Anacapri is good, although recent reviews on Tripadvisor are mixed. I guess I still have some homework to do...

Spanning from Europe to Asia the city of Istanbul is being hailed as the new "hot spot".

I've always wanted to go to experience the incredible shopping, awe inspiring sights, excellent dining, age old history and entertainment.

My favorite places have been Scotland, France, Italy, Hawaii and the Grenadines. I am ready to expand my travels a bit and visit Asia and South America--and Montenegro now that you mention it!

I began my world travels after 30 as well. But now I can't stop! I've been all through the Mediterranean (Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, Greece...)...but I have yet to hit Eastern Europe or my beloved Morocco and Egypt. I absolutely must find myself at a bazaar haggling with a local for my life to feel energized!

I'd like to hit Copenhagen, more of France, go back to Barcelona, delve into Paris and spend solid time in London. I'd like to spend a month or so there and use it as my hub as I further explore the region. We had considerable time n the Amalfi coast, but I can never get enough of it and want to spend more time there, possibly in a villa.

I have wanderlust and could go on forever. Budget Travel is such a fun magazine - hey are always a step ahead of trends in travel!

If you've never been, go to Italy for sure! If you don't want touristy, there are little places that Italians go to on the coast that no Americans go. We discovered this when our daughter was going on a dance tour. We were going with her and when they told us what town it was in, we were like, huh? never heard of it. Pure Italians. heaven. We didn't go though, the trip was canceled. PLUS one other plus, you are so into fashion and so are the Italians and the French. Mos tother countries in Europe, the people dress like they live in trailer parks. I swear, so disappointing. Great people watching in Italy and France and Israel too, believe it or not. Most gorgeous people, most gorgeous country!

I am dreaming of visiting Maryam in Marrakesh and going on a Camel Safari. This fixation occupies my day dreams and night dreams.

I also want to go to Turkey. Plus
Argentina (brat), Reykjavik, Copenhagen and Salzberg (Summer 2008), New Zealand, a Greek island where I do nothing but lounge, have sex and gaze at the ocean/sigh, Dubai and Morocco.

Not to brag, but I'm going to Rome and Positano next month so I'll let you know how it is. I think Italy is a must- Florence and Venice, skip Milan. The Greek isalnds are spectacular but skip Athens. My dream right now is to go on an African safari.

Just discovered the blog through the fabulous 'Life In A Venti Cup' and love it! And I love playing these list-making games too (You've motivated me to ponder the reasons why on my own blog). I just created my little wish list on Venti but here goes again, I can't resist - plus, you've made me remember I forgot Montenegro! What's on my list: Yemen, Guatemala, Zanzibar, Iran, Madegascar, Tunisia, Nepal, Iceland, Malta, and Mali for starters... Where does everyone want to go? My hometown of Dubai seems to be one of the world's hottest destinations, along with Buenos Aires, Montenegro, you're right, and Norway, Iceland and Tunisia to name a few. Favorite vacationing spot? Essaouira in Morocco, Capri in Italy, southern Turkey, or any number of Croatian Islands. Don't you love list-making?

I'm off to Athens and Rome in a few weeks. Any suggestions of places to visit outside Rome or good Roman hotels would be appreciated.
