Where has she been all this time?

Ok, this is little more than total condemnation of my internet addiction, but I stumbled on her blog and was like "Oh, how interesting... let's read about her kitchen renovation and then let's read about the chairs she wanted but got away..." and I was kind of overcome with this feeling that there are THOUSANDS more really interesting blogs out there that I simply have no time to read.

Maybe I need to quit working. Yes. This is the only answer.

Anyhoo... here's the little blog I was reading when I had this scary thought. Enjoy.

Oh - - and here's a challenge for everyone... if you really love Decorno, will you do me a favor? Please send me a link to your favorite personal blog that I don't have on my blog links. I want to discover new great daily reads.

And if you're a lurker with your own blog, *please* post a link to it in comments. I would love to read yours, too.

Sounds like we have another link exchange brewing, my friends.

The Christmas break has been an awesome time for discovering new blogs. How I'm going to keep up with 134 blogs now is another question. (Seriously, that's how many are in my reader.)

I agree...let's quit work (for various obvious reasons, of course!) I've had a serious thought myself lately. There are probably tons of thousands of wonderful blogs that I am probably missing out on. (sigh). But love yours. and I've linked you.

I'm actually surprised you don't already have Making It Lovely on your blogroll, but I suspect you already read it and just haven't added it. Anyway, here it is

www.blog.makingitlovely.com

Nicole runs Pink Loves Brown and also designs websites. In fact, she designed my blog www.pancakesandfrenchfries.blogspot.com which is definitely a personal blog, but I doubt you'd find the ramblings of an ex-attorney, now SAHM, that amusing. ;)

I also always read the lovely Patricia, from A Little Hut. She is so talented, and a great mom, too. But not in a XOXOXOXOXO "Eeek! The new Gymboree line is out!" kind of way. She actually does really cool recycling art projects with them. Here's her link:

http://alittlehut.blogspot.com/

I actually don't have any other personal blogs in my reader--mainly interior design. And I definitely don't have SAHM blogs feeds. Sorry. No offense. I'd love to find a personal blog about a temporarily retired professional, now SAHM, such as myself. The Decorno of SAHMs blogs. That would be nice.

I look forward to reading everyone else's links.

Also a daily lurker here. Love the sass, the crass, and the decor, of course. My own, fairly new, blog focuses on issues of domestication. And everyday I read my gal-friend's blog, www.nerdyfashionista.blogspot.com. Keep up the good blogging!

First time poster, first time reader, someone who has known you for a while and didn't know you blogged.

While I am not creative enough to have my own blog, I do blog-spy on others and this is my favorite:

megavoyage.blogspot.com

This is a blog by Jeff Farschman; he cruises up to 2/3 of the year. And right now, he is on a 216 day straight cruise. Yes, you read that right. 216 days.

He is fascinating because of his love for cruising, but also because he is so very, very tan. I take a mini-vacation every day when I see where he has gone.

XO,
Lisa (you know, the one that works with Jon)

Hi everyone... ok, so I was on my way from gray Seattle to gray NYC today, and I saw your comments on my Blackberry... it's late here and no time to reply to all, but let's tackle Tara first...

Tara - sadly, I am not a huge flickr user or creative commons (not even sure what that is)...

Does anyone else know what Tara is battling here? Can you offer advice for her so she can get her blog up and running?

Tara - if it's images you're looking to post, I probably do this in the most remedial way, but I usually drag and drop images I need to my desktop and then use the blogger image loader thingy to grab them from desktop and toss them into my post. I am not sure that helps you...

post in comments again to explain more of the problem... I can post it to the main page and get you an answer, I am sure...

Tara--if you're looking to post a picture from flickr--yours or something under creative commons--try the following:

1. Click on the "all sizes" tab above the picture.

2. Select small or medium. Small fits within the borders in my blog, but try medium and see if it's not too big.

3. You can then download the picture to your desktop. Select that option, which is directly above the picture.

4. Or, if you want to link back to the flickr page scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see two boxes 1) The html code, and 2) the url. In order to comply with Flicr's policies, you must copy the html code. Be sure you copy the html code for the size you want, which you can only do when you have the size you want selected on top. After you have copied it, just paste it into your text in blogger or wordpress. To center the picture in your post, just select the code and hit the center formatting button--just like you would if you were trying to center a title.

I use this option because my pictures are so small I want people to have the option of seeing the picture in a larger format.

Hope I didn't muddy the waters.

Hello! I stumbled across your blog somehow and have enjoyed reading it! Perhaps you'll enjoy my blog: www.suffixabuse.com -- like the tag line reads, it's about "cuteness, awesomeness, occasional bitchiness, and aspirations of greatness" -- you know, nothing too serious. :)

It's: kwanawrites.blogspot.com.

My name is Linda. I'm a lurker who's never screwed up enough courage to comment on any of the blogs I follow.

But this year I resolved to start my own blog where I could talk about interior designers, since I spend so much time obsessing over their portfolios.

This is my first comment ever. It makes it so much easier, that you asked! I really appreciate that.
