It's that time of year again.

It's that time of year again. Even if you're not that into weddings, PDN (the commercial photographers monthly) does a cool round up every year of the best wedding photos. Most are not at all cheesy. Many are great.

You can see more HERE.

Oh, so we're deleting butterfly posts now? Interesting...

does the site have any gay weddings?

Decorno, I'm not Anonymous 1, the butterfly guy (I posted the gay-wedding query) ... but why did you delete the butterfly post? you are our idol, our icon ... don't let that jerk get to you! stand up to the jerks of the world! or better yet, just block them ...

I just hid the post, I didn't delete it. I got tired of having to monitor comments that were getting a little nasty. Even when I post something like that, it's generally playful. Some of the comments devolved, and that got old. If you want me to put it back up, I will, but I will probably turn on comment moderation.

Other anon - I am not sure what kind of weddings the judges at the PDN Top Knots awards selected. Some of the shots are detail shots, etc, so it would be hard to tell. I bet you could email PDN and see if they happen to know, although I don't think they collect that kind of info, although if the photo itself is of a ceremony, then it would be obvious. Good question.

Wow. If I didn't feel like a fat ass before, that fourth picture did the job.

Things have changed so much since I was married. I love the personality weddings have these days.

Oh hell, after 62 posts, enough with the butterfly comments. The topic is played out. Decorno was right.

Ugh! I really, really, really try not to be all romantical and mushy...but weddings always get me. Some of the pics were so beautiful! I especially love the one called "Outside the Temple"...the colors were gorge!

gay wedding inquiry...

check out one of the photogs profiled Anna Kuperberg.
She lives with her partner in San Francisco so I'm sure she would be a good person + her photography is some of the best I've ever seen [and I work in advertising so I've seen a lot]

I think I try to avoid wedding photos after having friends send 100s to me that I feel obliged to at least start looking at (then I peter out and just say "forget it")...but I agree these are nice.

Jules--right with you! I was thinking "oh my, I think she has a problem."

These are all beautiful photos. I had no idea there was a "best of" collection. You picked out the best of the best.

What fun photos! I love the one with the green shoes and the one where the little dog is by the bride's feet :)
