I have had wanderlust since infancy. Every time I go to a new city, whether it's Shanghai or Scottsdale, I say ... Wow, I would love to live here! I have a feeling this comes from the rootlessness of growing up a military brat.
an aesthete's lament--I think the same thing can happen when you come from a family that NEVER moves...it's almost like you go into a desperate search just so you don't end up living in the same place as the rest of your family for the rest of your life...
I'm with everyone else--this is the kind of job I'd kill for.
Christine ... I used to DREAM of living in the same place all my life and being able to graduate from one school with all the same friends you'd had for years ... now I see the folly in that dream, but it was powerful while it lasted ... still, I managed to attend 10 or 12 schools over 17 years ...
