Hot garden fantasies.

Oh, doesn't this look like an Ina Garten kind of place... where she calls you up at 3:30, invites you over for supper and brings out trays of lobster bisque & warm bread and then feeds you 'til you pop while you listen to crickets and watch the sun set?

It's not Ina's place. But it is featured in this month's Cottage Living. How I love thee, Cottage Living.

So lovely! And Ina Garten has one of the most perfect kitchens known to man.

I love Ina Garten. I so wish she'd invite me over for lunch, or dinner...or hell, even breakfast. I have a feeling if she did, I'd limp out the door weighed down by pounds of butter, but it'd so be worth it.

These pics are beautiful. Makes me wish I were rich.

I am totally in love with Ina. Her kitchen is lovely.. but so is everything else! Her husband is adorable and so doting... she's the cool girl's Martha Stewart. I also love her "body by cake" attitude. She's chosen buttercream frosting over her waist and somehow it works for her. She's a doll.

Good comment, Decs.

You know, Martha's body is also zaftig (no stranger to buttercream), but somehow she does not exude "appetite" or "pleasure," does she?

To have an afternoon in this exact garden with our favorite Contessa. BEAUTIFUL thought and even better imagery- nice spot!

Another Ina fan here - Her simplicity reflects an East Coast classiness really found here in CA.

Less really is more - both with her decorating and her cooking.

Oops - Typo, my bad.

Mean to say "Her simplicity an East Coast classiness RARELY not really (oops)found here, in CA

...and I almost sent these photos to you too! But you never call, you never write, so I figured you don't love me, and I didn't want to bother you. Just kidding. But truly, I thought this would be a great look for your yard make over.

How funny. My favorite moment last week was when my 3 year old son professed his love for Ina. Except he calls her Mazy.

You hit on something with the Martha comparison. Martha, for all his upper-crust pretensions, puts forth a lot of fairly low-IQ stuff (stupid crafts especially). Ina, on the other hand, has much smarter content and presumes a much smarter and more sophisticated audience.
