"Snaps" are what sorority girls do to express approval, rather than clapping, for example.

Hey! I just found this- thanks so much for the post and comments! It's funny we all picked up on the same word, but whatever, he's an incredibly sincere guy and he's HYSTERICAL. I went to a party for the launch of Trina Turk's new store opening, and he was there since he decorated it, and he couldn't have been more down to earth and happy to meet everybody, whether it was some big name person or a little nobody assistant like myself ;) Plus have you guys ever read his book?! It's like the funniest thing I've ever read AND it's a decorating book. Perfect combo if you ask me...
