What does that look like in the Fall and Winter? This is a screen saver....beautiful. Ginny
Fall and winter, depending on climate, it looks pretty much the same. In snow it turns brown and crisp, but still looks good. Other ornamental grasses look even better in winter when the seed heads spiral up above the main grass.
Yay, grass. Except for bluegrass planted in Colorado on grass farms aka lawns.
aahahahah lazy fucker ...ahahahah it IS beautiful
Have you fired the yard guy yet?
haha. too pretty.

That makes me miss my yard.

Just beautiful! Almost too good to be true. Do some people really live like that?
I have been following your blog on and off for a few months now~~~I truly love it! Lazy fucker~~~cracked me up! French;)
Well, he IS a lazy fucker. I am tired of taking all the blame in the relatioship. I work all day, I come home, I cook, I clean, and Grass and Plants just sit there. They probably get high while I am out or play quarters or whatever. They are irresponsible and need to get jobs.
Sorry. don't like it. Don't like it one git.
What is a "git"? Is it British? Oh never mind, I don't care.
Ornamental grasses are beautiful. They can become a little hyperactive in the NW. Not sure which is better ADHD grass in need of Ritalin or lazy grass.
I want to steal that ornamental grass border idea. But I don't think my yard is big enough to handle it.
The first image looks awesome. It reminds me of the hobbits environment in LOTR!
The grass is bamboo grass, Hakonecloa macra, and looks great in Seattle. If fact they came from Briggs Nursery in Olympia- all 10,000 of them. Yes people do live like this. Thank god- it keeps me in business.
