If decor is your porn, this is your blog.
And just look at pretty pictures of great rooms, shall we?House Beautiful knocked my socks off again this month. Here's a little something from my new decorno crush.Rooms by Eric Cohler.
I can't take those double-gourd lamps any more.
that did cheer me up.........
A good samovar argument might take my mind off my stock troubles.
Did you know that you could take those double-gourd lamps and convert them to samovars? Any young person just starting out should do this. No--MUST do this.
If I did this arrangement in my house, someone would sit on the floor with his back against the sofa. Or one of my kids would jump off the sofa. The sofa would slide/ lurch back, and knock the gourd lamps on the floor. As it is, I'm always repositioning our sofa because it isn't against a wall. Is there a "real world" solution that doesn't involve nailing the sofa down?Other that than scenario, I have a perfect room for this arrangement.
I just realized, even if the sofa was nailed down, one of my kids would probably end up standing on their heads on the sofa and kicking the lamps over. Or someone else would probably stretch on the sofa and just knock it down with his arm...I'll just pretend, like the title suggests.
The title is priceless!! and the pics uplifting!
I'm over the lamps as well, but I love love love the console.
Oh, that photo put me right back on the double-gourd train. Pretty.
Wow,nice pictures. House Beautiful certainly has improved. I have terminated my subscription to Elle Decor- I may get one for House Beautiful instead.
After I received this issue I kept it out so that I could look at it every day and, basically, zen myself back down from the tops of the trees. Breathe. Beautiful. Thanks.
Wow. Thanks I needed that.
I am also loving House Beautiful, and saying bye to Elle Decor; it's just too Wearsterized to be useful.
This designer does great work. I've worked with him in the past...
