Perfect in every way.

Too bad I have boobs, because I would buy this in a minute if I had a fashion-y flat chest. THIS little jacket is total perfection. Someone please buy it so I may live vicariously through you.

Yeah, my boobs are far too big for that one too. I think that SGM would ROCK that sweater!

I like purple, and it's well tailored, but that trim could look a little JonBenet...

Oh, I think the trim is the best part. The whole thing is so well-made. I love the attention to detail at J. Crew now that Mickey Drexler runs the show. I read that his parents worked in the trim/findings business so his affection for material and detail is becoming a J.Crew signature.

I just wanted to say "JonBenet," dammit!

Oh god, I didn't realize it was you (how could I forget our JonBenet conversation!).

You mean about my cat, CatBenet?

(Oh god, we're gonna get in trouble again...)

I typically like things like this...I have something like it from Anthropolgie a few years back.

I fear that the embellishments on this would be reminiscent of either hemorrhoids or dingle-berries though.

I also LOVE it on this girl. She's perfection. I think someone should tell this girl that she's so beautiful that she can wear hemorrhoids and look good.

Finally, the boobless, such as I am, have been given a chance.

Ahhhh, you have boobs, me too, and there are lots of things we can not wear, ok, we can wear beautiful and low tops but really I do not want people looking at my boobs, I rather prefer they look at my face.

i love this. i want this. i love the trim, no one is doing that level of detail right now. thanks for the tip, it will be mine!

Also, wouldn't look so good on tall, long-waisted gals like me. Would practically become a dingle-berry bolero and, really... who wants that?

I love the J. Crew Collection goods. I didn't know who was responsible for this fine change - I love the little things like beautiful coordinating linings and contrasting welting. Even the costume jewelry is chic (I love the acorn bracelet!).

I have this jacket in blue, and like you decorno, I am, shall we say, blessed. It still looks good on. I get stopped stop by strangers who tell me it looks fabulous. Just buy it.

It looks good on her, but with the wrong face at the top (picture Bette Midler's, say), it could look like a bad crafts project.

I have the same issue--big boobs. But, I have been coveting this jacket since I got that catalog in the mail. I want it in blue, but I also love the purple.

By the way, I read your blog all the time, but don't post comments because I never feel like I'm witty enough to do so. Is there something in the J. Crew line-up that will help me overcome feeling like a dimwit?

It wasn't until AFTER I bought my huge beautiful boobs, that I realized I had seen the last of my cute bra and button front shirt days. Oh well.

Yeah, too bad for you girls with boobs. I love my A's.

Okay, not really. But I'll pretend I do because it would seem that being flat is in right now.

You know what really sucks? Being flat chested AND wide hipped.

Cute little boxy jackets like this do not look good on me. Sad but true.

Love, love. I'm not going to click over to JCrew, though. It's probably $300, so it can't be...
