For painted pieces (that aqua secretary is sweet) check your local antique malls and independent home stores. Painting is pretty popular with crafts people at the moment. Some of the results are bad, but sometimes they're pretty good.
theslkpurse69Hello, Cybill. I would be happy to furnish you all the beautiful furniture like this you could possibly want. It is my speciality of choice as an Interior Designer in Dallas, Texas, at gypsymerchant@sbcglobal.net. And guess what....it doesn't break the bank to do so. Thank you, Decorno, for your lovely blog.

Love the pink/lilac walls - that is a must do.
Seriously, where do people find furniture that looks like that?
Me too love.
All the good furniture either gets passed down to someone, or sold on 1stdibs for $8,600 for the pair.
Love it all except the baby zebra rug. Ginny
N---ICE!!!
Ah, pretty.
I'm with Ginny. No baby zebra carnage.

Oh how I swoon!
If you're in the Twin Cities area, I found my great buffet-turned-"entertainment center" at Les Junc. Very reasonable prices for this type of stuff.
It is the head of a zebra rug, not a baby zebra rug.
I love the lilas room ...
Oh, how stupid of me.
No zebra head carnage.
No zebra head carnage, but a fur blanket on the bed is okay?
Beautiful. Pure Decorn - in the Biblical sense, I mean.
I'm always amazed at how I never tire of the right shade of aqua. Love it with the zebra.

I'm sure that is not at all an advertisement, Bebe.
I love all of these inspiring spaces! They radiate glamour and beautiful design....I always enjoy reading your blog!
I said "pretend they're faux," goddammit. What do you want from me?
:-)
Check out the giant palm fronds wallpaper in the background-- just like Blanche Devereaux's bedroom!
