I was hoping this wasn't true when I read it on magazinedeathpool.com

I just received my subscription confirmation today, so thought there was a glimmer of hope... but, alas, if Decorno says it, it must be true.

I'm totally bummed out by this news...although now I can rationalize tonight's martini. (Cheers and RIP CL!) CL had been satisfying my need for decorno when Domino fell short.

Well, the publisher either has to refund your money or give you a subscription to another publication. When House & Garden folded (RIP, my love...), they sent me.... Domino. Which I already subscribed to.

Way to check that database, Conde Nasty.

Anyhoo, yeah, it's a bummer.

NO!!!!! I love Cottage Living. I live in a cottage style house, so I've used many ideas from Cottage Living. I hope Coastal Living isn't the next to go.

O at Home folded too.

I wish all of Martha Stewart's magazines would have closed instead. They're so...oblivious.

That really bites!

Cottage Living had a promotion this fall for 4 subscriptions for $16.oo--one for oneself and 3 gift subscriptions. I felt it was too good to be true, and now, it see it is.

Will they actually substitute another magazine for all 4 subscriptions?

Carrie,

I just called Cottage Living customer service (you can find it online. As of now, the website is still up); Cottage Living is part of the Southern Living empire.

The person I spoke with was unaware of Cottage Living's demise, but, then, she said, oh, okay.

I asked for a refund, and she said a check would be mailed to me in 3-4 weeks. I'm not holding my breath, but at least they didn't hassle me.
