Magrit

My current obsession (among many) are THESE shoes by Magrit at Endless.com. Yum.

I also want THIS clutch from J. Crew:

Hint, hint to people who might be looking for things to buy me for Christmas (I am talking to you, honey). Although I may need it before so I can wear it to holiday parties and that sort of thing. You get the idea. Size 7, don't forget.

Oh, I KNOW! The 15232 was my dream wedding shoe, but sadly, I just could not shell out $500 for them. I still covet them to this day, though!

Oooh, those shoes are gorgeous. I'm so obsessed with gray/silver right now (ok, and my whole life) it's not even funny. Love the silver with a punch of girly pink, and now I'm fantasizing about them at holiday parties, too.

On the other hand, let's face it, I'm 5'10...sigh. The tall girl's ever present conundrum.

Helllloooo Magrit 14583 wedding shoes!

Alice if you're in Seattle, I have a cute 27 year old who is 6'5 at LEAST for you. I really think he's more like 6'7.

15583 and 15116 look like shoes my mother would choose and she is 67 with terrible taste in shoes. As for the rest, I would say they border on trashy and not in an interesting way, jusy kind of gaudy. These may be fashion forward on the west coast but certainly not anywhere else. Thumbs down from me I'm afraid.

Fabulous shoes. Love the colours. Second favourite is the 15876. Lovely autumny red tones.

Alice - be tall. be proud. fucking strap on those 4" heels.

Do it Alice!

I work with a woman who is at least 6 ft 4 in her heels (and yeah, she wears 'em) and she looks gorgeous--just right. You wouldn't want her a millimeter shorter.

JJ:
100% agreement 14583 is gorgeous!

But I got some great advice from the boutique where I purchased my wedding dress:

You want to wear shoes with zero possibility of walking out of them or needing to adjust a heel strap, especially if you are wearing a full length gown. The bride loses her glamour when she keeps hiking her dress up to put a shoe back on or snug up a pesky heel strap. Unless a slingback fits like a glove, I would avoid it on my wedding day.

They also convinced me bigger earings were better... but it was a tough sell. I made an appointment with my hairstylist to "try on" various wedding day hair styles. My wedding boutique allowed me to borrow some earrings / necklaces to see how they changed my look with my hair style. They were right. I was wrong. Bigger was better, at least on the earrings. Decided the necklace was a detractor and didn't wear one.

Decorno, what about a wedding clutch suggestion for JJ?

She won't need a wedding clutch. I am sure she will make me hold her lip gloss, her keys, her cocaine, and her credit cards - as usual.

Speaking of naughty, don't we need a revirgin's night out with 21 year old British plumbers, vodka and such? Why don't we have any fun anymore? I have $300. Let's go!!

She has lip gloss, cocaine, and credit cards? She doesn't need to get married.

Wow, thanks for the Amazon love. :) Unfortunately, jj, I just moved to Vegas from LA. (I do LOVE Seattle though...) But I'm sure there are some cute tall boys with cool friends here too. I'll find 'em if there are.

And I will so wear these shoes out on dates with them.

Decorno, I love you and I love your choice in shoes - but where do you go in satin heels in this crappy, Seattle weather?!
