New lamp.

Kelie, here is your lamp's final resting place. Just FYI. I think the taupe-y shade works just fine with the green walls. And the bamboo pens are now hanging out in the vintage monogrammed silver cup that I also picked up at your store. Thanks for the sweet deals.

I am nervous about green paint, but that color is gooooood.

Decorno - What are the stats on the pillow?

I got the fabric at Pacific Fabrics here in Seattle. It's a dingy little outlet in SoDo (for any local readers who care to know). $13/yard. Can't beat that. My dry cleaner (Spic n' Span on Dearborn - they are the best) whipped up two pillow covers for me in this fabric, and also a long bolster-y pillow in a funky lime color. The other two pillows live upstairs on my bed.

The fabric is a bit of a guilty pleasure because I know that the David Hicks revival days are numbered, but the rest of the room is so vintage-y that I needed to give it a kick, you know? Something graphic.

A white couch. I'm so jealous. The men in my life would trash it; otherwise I would have one of my own.

What's your secret? It looks spotless.

Oh, it's so not spotless. It's just a cheap old Ikea sofa (my first sofa, now retired to the room where I sit around and write these posts...). The cushion covers are removable and washable, and doing so does, in fact, return them to a creamy white state. However, they haven't been washed in way too long, I am afraid.
