Two words:

Liquid. Eyeliner.

Why did it take me 31 years to try this???

When wearing said eyeliner, I look EXACTLY* like the woman in the photo above.

*Exactly = sorta, kinda, not really.

that's really funny - i JUST rediscovered YSL liquid eyeliner I'd bought years ago and stopped wearing for some unknown reason. It's totally foolproof, and gets close to the lash line without requiring painful contortions of your eyelid!

I saw the most amazing tip for liquid eyeliner on television last week...

Wipe off the stem of the wand so that you're able to hold closer to the end, thus able to use it more precisely to draw your line. So simple, yet for years I've been trying this, hating the results, scrubbing my face, and then wondering why I even bothered.

You practically looked like her before, you ridiculously glamorously beautiful skank!

Oh Decorno, why must you remind me that I'm five years older than you all the time?

My advice is to wear all the sparkly eye shadow and heavy eyeliner you can now as you won't want to in a few years. I always wanted to do the smoky eyeliner all around the eyes look and discovered it was too late when I got my courage up.

Despite its sparkles, my new favorite eyeliner is Cream Shaper by Clinique. It's easier than liquid liner and more fun than drawing a line with a hard pencil. Looks cool.

lol. amazing. ...I'm more a fan of the smoky eye...but I add the liquid on top of that to make it darker when going out at night.

Great tip: Take the cotton off of the end of a q-tip. Dampen the end (with water if you demand cleanliness, with spit if you don't care). After applying the liquid eyeliner to your lashline, use the dampened, cottenless q-tip end to fix any boo-boos and generally create a smooth line. For some reason, it's the perfect fixer.

Thank you all for the excellent tips. I've been going with the Almay liners with the sharpeners for years to create cat-eyes. Now I'm gonna head into a brave new liquid world.

I used to wear liquid eyeliner in the 80s. When I was slightly less than 31. So I am now old enough to be Decorno's knocked-up-in-high-school mother.

Shit. I'm going to bed.

You could still have young'uns, Hello Gorgeous. Look at super-fertile 44-year-old Mrs. Palin! She and her 17-year-old daughter, birthin' babies side by side...

liquid eyeliner is a dream. instant bridget bardot. can't afford YSL but prestige or almay or any of those sponge-tipped l.e.'s from the drugstore do the trick for me. really, who can manage the bitty paint brush? have you tried false lashes too? it's an amazing combo.

I'd really like to master this also. I have one with the brush that was gifted to me, but sounds like I need to try another brand. The brush is difficult.

False eylashes, on the outer edges ONLY, with liquid liner. It will change your life. Do it now.
