These acquisitions won't help me pay for the kitchen.

...but I had to have them.

This will require a boob-ectomy or an 800-calorie diet, but whatever. I *will* look cute in this, dammit.

This is part of the Angelina Jolie costume I am trying to put together. Now I just need to figure out what tattoo to get...

Looks better on, trust me.

The collar. I mean, please. Pure love.

I am pretty sure I will look like shimmy sausage in this, but it's a PARTY dress, which means as soon as I am loaded up with vodka, I really won't care about arm wiggle, will I?

Carrie - I think we need to institute Un-Casual Friday at work. What do you think? (Although, you always dress for work, so maybe there is no novelty in this idea for you...)

I think it should be *Formal* Friday and your should wear your shimmy dress and get tanked.

So, the new part in that equation is just the dress, right?

Did I successfully evade your invitation to kind-of-hot yoga? Because I am really lazy. How did it go?

At 105 pounds I felt like a disco ball in a sequined dress. Sad.

Forget the kitchen!

How funny is this? The shocking pink jacket is JCrew...("the collection")
I bought two of them.......(by accident.....as much as I love them.......two!?!)

Gave one to my really good friend as a present!

Bravo! Such a cute and beautifully made jacket...bravo to Mickey for starting the JCrew Collection with beautifully made things....in limited editions.

I even got a thank-you note from him!

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got the anthropologie sweater in black. Love it. Cozy without sloppy and quite flattering in the post-holiday-belly region.

Would you be so kind as to share the source of the cream shawl sweater? It is so me, and it obviously lost its way.
Still loving what I am reading...

Wait. Did you buy something from Anthropologie? The same woman who declared it a "Crime of Fashion" as recently as October.

I must be mistaken.

Dearest Boss,

I am all for starting un-casual Friday. Besides, dressing up on Fridays means you can head straight into your Friday night plans. (I am assuming that someone as fab as you always has plans on Fridays. See how I did that? Do I get bonus points?).

Carrie

p.s. Loving the new purchases, especially the sweater. yum.

Like my girl Hello Gorgeous, I too am confused. I think I have borrowed your incomparably accurate phrase "ric-rac-loving modern bohemian" several times to describe Anthropologie's clothes. Granted, there's no ric-rac in evidence on those, but still...

TNF - I think you answered your question. I don't hate Anthropologie generally. I hate ric-rac clothes specifically. These sweaters are absent of that bullshit.

I've always hated Casual Friday! Bring on Formal Fridays!
