bedside tables/nightstands. what do you think? I want one with a drawer for personal items, and shelves for books. and I don't want to have to sweep the dust under them, so I want it flat on the floor.

I had one in my old apartment. It's pretty much the only thing I miss about it.
My father built me a window seat when I was 12. It was the best thing in all the world. :)

Love them... have a bay window in my dining room where I'd love to add one! Now if only I had the skills to do so...

I have ALWAYS wanted a window seat...I once even tried to convince my parents to purchase a house specifically so I could have it in my room...they went with another house, but I still love them.

Like Hello G, I have a window seat and never use it. I have comfy sofa that are far better suited to lounging.
I am redesigning my nieces bedroom and I would love to incorporate one into her space...with yummy bookshelves flanking it...just working the numbers to see if I can fit it in...

So do I! The house I grew up in had tons of them.
I would love to have a window seat as well looking over a beach, it would make so happy!!
