those outdoor shots are just what i need on this fucking miserable sunday. i would kill you vampire style today for a yard like that with a wall around it and that pretty grass. j
My man and I have been looking for a pot rack. He has vetoed every single one I've found as boring, too common, vanilla, wimpy etc. I showed him this pic and he practically got a hard-on for those slaughter-house style hooks.
It all looks a bit too East Coast I-hired-a-decorator-y to me. Not that I wouldn't be all smug and self-satisfied if I happened to live there. Because I would. You know I would.
No. Nobody home. Total formula....no personal anything I could find. spec house?
too bad.
Love the comments.......past bedtime.....but...I know Miles Redd.....he is the BEST!!
no credit to him?
For shame!
this looks like an "empty suit"....almost a "showcase house" can you find anything personal??? Personal is what a house is all about.......unless it isn't.......and then it isn't.
These are images of a few different projects, not just one house. Miles and Gil both do great decoration. Gil is also an architect. He has a decorating department in his office that does fantastic work, and all but one of the images posted reflect Gil's decorating sensibilities. As for this comment above:
"No. Nobody home. Total formula....no personal anything I could find. spec house?"
These are photo shoots, with deliberate styling, as they should be done. Would it make sense to leave out the dirty laundry? And spec. house? Not in a million years. None of these projects are in Greenwich. Where can I collect my $100, Anonymous?

that kitchen is amazing. really everything in general - in the dream house folder...
OK, last photo, outdoor porch. I WANT THOSE CHAIRS. Where could I find them? Any ideas?
The fifth picture needs to be credited to Miles Redd, who did the decorating for that Gil Schafer apt. (Schafer is an architect, not a decorator.)
Here's the picture as it appears in Miles Redd's portfolio:

Is he a UVa grad, like Stevie Gambrel? His work has a very similar aesthetic...
the pursuit of longing. They have become core components of Western civilization, is playing a significant impact so far.
