Girl, she is totally on my list of Would.
That voice plus she is the epitome of tomboy sexy.
She looks like Danile Franco from seasons 1 and 2 of Project Runway.
Hell of a voice though!
Oh man, that woman's voice is the sound of god. The album where she covered that song originally, Songs from the 49th Parallel, is a triumph.
I got to meet her after a concert in SF a few years back. Gorgeous skin and shorter than I expected since her voice sounds like she is 6 feet tall. A true powerhouse. I agree with Paul, the sound of God. She can bring me to tears with her voice just like Annie Lenox and Allison Moyet, my other 2 top favorites.

she's always been my girl crush.
I make out with her all the time. People think my husband is her sister. Seriously. When he was younger (and she was more in the spotlight) people used to stop him on the street.

Love it. But I have to agree with Anonymous...Jeff Buckley's version is way better.
And he would have been way hotter to make out with.

Her voice gives me chills and makes me stop dead in my tracks. The way she controls her voice and the range... incredible.
I cannot help but wonder why she was barefoot and what was with that strange Bea Arthur like komono shirt dress thing?

KD is on heavy rotation on my iPod. She's got some seriously killer pipes, and some of her earlier 'torch & twang' is the closest thing to country I've ever liked. I have a hard time deciding which is the better version - hers or Jeff Buckley's. I still wouldn't make out with her, tho.
OOoooh, KD's and Buckley's versions are both gorgeous, but my fave is Rufus Wainwright's (I went through a phase about a year ago where I YouTubed every version of this song I could, and his was my fave). I know - I'm a nerd.
