If decor is your porn, this is your blog.
That must be the best version I've heard but I still don't want to kiss her, xv.
Girl, she is totally on my list of Would. That voice plus she is the epitome of tomboy sexy.
She looks like Danile Franco from seasons 1 and 2 of Project Runway.Hell of a voice though!
Oh man, that woman's voice is the sound of god. The album where she covered that song originally, Songs from the 49th Parallel, is a triumph.
I got to meet her after a concert in SF a few years back. Gorgeous skin and shorter than I expected since her voice sounds like she is 6 feet tall. A true powerhouse. I agree with Paul, the sound of God. She can bring me to tears with her voice just like Annie Lenox and Allison Moyet, my other 2 top favorites.Lisa & Alfie
She looks like my plumber. She sounds like Heaven. The most beautiful rendition I've ever hear!Thank you!xo
yikes- a bit too dirge-y to me.
I'd still make out with Leonard Cohen.
She send chills up my spine. I could listen to this version, and Jeff Buckley's back to back for hours.
Yeah, wonderful.Pergola Alert:with retractable fucking roof, even...http://www.luxist.com/2009/05/16/retractable-roof-pergola-creates-an-outdoor-room/
she's always been my girl crush.
I make out with her all the time. People think my husband is her sister. Seriously. When he was younger (and she was more in the spotlight) people used to stop him on the street.I would also like to make out with your friend. You know, the one who has helped me lose 20+ pounds and counting...
Two words: Jeff Buckley.
Love it. But I have to agree with Anonymous...Jeff Buckley's version is way better.
And he would have been way hotter to make out with.
Now I will have to "google" Jeff Buckley!and follow up on the tent.........does anyone work who reads these great blogs? How do you find the time??PEnny
oh god, she's back..........
Her voice gives me chills and makes me stop dead in my tracks. The way she controls her voice and the range... incredible.I cannot help but wonder why she was barefoot and what was with that strange Bea Arthur like komono shirt dress thing? Oh well, the girl's got some pipes!
chic magnet..LURVE her...totally.can you even believe that voice?Egads..its just...just...beyond heaven, I guess I would call it.
KD and Lenny: two more wonderful things about Canada.
AND Joni Mitchell! (The inspiration for Lenny's "Chelsea Hotel")
Decorno, You give me a lift just when I need it.
KD is on heavy rotation on my iPod. She's got some seriously killer pipes, and some of her earlier 'torch & twang' is the closest thing to country I've ever liked. I have a hard time deciding which is the better version - hers or Jeff Buckley's. I still wouldn't make out with her, tho.
OOoooh, KD's and Buckley's versions are both gorgeous, but my fave is Rufus Wainwright's (I went through a phase about a year ago where I YouTubed every version of this song I could, and his was my fave). I know - I'm a nerd.
