they had this on netflix streaming for a while and i caught it one night when i couldn't sleep. it was a wonderful story and i didn't stop thinking about it for days.
I LOVED The Visitor. Thought about it for days afterward. I get three movies at a time from Netflix. One recent rainy weekend, I watched 1.The Visitor, like you said, great story, very moving. 2. Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father, OMG!!!!! No movie has ever affected me this way. And 3. Ghost Town...a big surprise. Funny as hell, great story, and I thought this British dude, Ricky Gervis, was wonderful. LOVED all three!
I thought The Visitor left behind such a quiet ache. It wanted to be filed in the Life Is Not Fair and There Is No Justice folder in my brain, but it occupies much more territory than that.
we watched it a few months ago and loved it! i almost bought it the other day... soon! and now i want to play the drums. but mostly only in central park in a big bongo drum party!!!
This WAS a great movie - if you liked this another one that may be good for you is "Arranged" its streaming on Netflix. I have watched it like 4 times now, its really a great, very touching story!
I came to it late--just 2 months ago or so, but I'm very glad a friend mentioned it to me. Made me challenge some assumptions I'd had. And at the end, all I could say was, "It's over? It can't be over! That can't be the way it ends!" (And for a change, the DVD "extras" were worth watching!)

I saw that when it first came out. Really incredible, huh? I was so surprised at how much it affected me. Such a beautiful story.

Wasn't it great! I thought it might be too slow for my husband, but he loved it.
I LOVED this movie. I never thought I could have a crush on a guy that much older than myself, but he moved me. The movie moved me.
Beautiful! I just watched it and it happens to be my 20th anniversary of immigrating to the US. Thank you for the recommendation!
