I think if I actually lived in a bedroom as casually chic as that third image down, it would just look really messy all the time, but I do love the idea of it...

It's like the idea of perfect bed-head hair. Hard to achieve, but great in theory.

In the fourth picture, the oversize image of a woman sipping an apple martini is a desperate attempt at levity. Completely out of character with the conservative design. Try starting with a pillow.

thanks for the posting... interesting comments. FYI: first shot - the stairs lead to a landing connecting the second floor staircase (in view) and foyer to the left of the kitchen. The foyer happens to be on the same level as the counter creating the playful visual confusion... fabulous design by Seattle architect, Eric Cobb. I shot the loft for Met Home, Nov. 2006 issue.
