Is there an epidemic of people forgetting what they named their baby?? It's the only reason I can find for people STILL putting baby names up in the nursery.
And in other totally unrelated news: not everything should be turned into a light, people. Baskets, tin cans, wire frames with weird burlap covers. Just stop it everyone. Stop it.

I <3 you.
Amen!! Ugg oh and "people" can all stop with the whole blog post with one random pic and stupid color ways on the bottom...
The most bothersome thing to me is the spacing between the "e" and the "t". grrrr. :)
Little Ethan would enjoy some tiger wallpaper way more.
I COMPLETELY agree! I think first names on the wall AND themed nurserys should just die already!
Have you seen Most Eligible Dallas? Closing in on 30, Courtney has her name spelled out in her bedroom. Letters are way out of scale on her big wall. It makes me want to give her a hug.
I don't hate it.
Has the same appeal as a monogram. Maybe not favored by all, but not wholly repugnant. I suspect Ethan is thrilled to see his name up in lights, as it were.
Melanie
I said the same thing the other day when I was out looking at lighting - I'm sick of the whole dang look - way OVER it - we needs to be movin' on, people
Ha! Thank you. I'm also having a hard time with the whole bunting trend, but not feeling brave about posting my loathing, as it seems such a hit in the I pat your back you pat mine blogosphere.
Do you think Amy that she did it on purpose? I thought she just didn't measure. (why do I say she? sexist?)
No excuse for the name in 3-D on the wall!
Lamps made out of old pans and buckets and broken faucets (yes I saw one; should have taken a pic)!
Enough already! It is just one more bad idea!!!!
Yep, total agreement.
Too funny. I am a real estate agent and I just showed this house over the weekend. Small virtual world.
And those tree murals as well.
maybe his name is et han
or is that Latin for something? like stupid mural.
It was a gift from the grandparents/godparents/sister/uncle/nephew. It was. What're'ya gonna do? We just hope the stick-on backs are moveable/removable.

I love the simplicity of this nursery!
Hey Flo!!!
And that sticky stuff can come off the wall with "goo gone!"
Anyway it's unique to put baby's names on the wall. Very creative.
THANK you. Ridick.
Do people not know the meaning of "unique"? It is not synonymous with cutesy or cloying. So, no,names on a wall are not "unique" they are stupid.
Amen, also can we please stop tearing up perfectly good books for hideous wreaths?!
