So, this place is for sale:
It's kind of a hot mess, but can't 30 gallons of white paint fix that?
The view:
The fixer exterior:
My slice of beach:
The inside. (And you know I am keeping that luscious carpet...)
Yes, no, maybe?

yes.
TOTALLY!
Decorno, you must go for it and you will not regret it.
I'm from San Francisco but spent many wonderful summers at my grandparents cabin on Whidbey Is. as a child and adolescent. So many of the beaches in WA, (assuming that's where you are thinking) are really special and the in August there is nothing better : )
You are savvy and have a clue. Just do it.
Yes! White everywhere, lime the beams, 86 the blue carpet but keep the tufted ottoman or give it to me. Cute place, Decorno-ify it asap!
Absolutely.
A place by the beach is great even if it's decorated like a frat house.
Now, I want a beach house too, but I dread what will happen to the floors when the sea levels rise.
yes!
Absolutely. And keep the carpet. My grandmother had the most beautiful beach house with green carpets. It was waspy and all kinds of fabulous ( granted, my taste veers towards the "kelly wearstler" on the crazy scale)
Yes! Whidbey is the best as is white paint!
I'm with Pieter. I like that color carpet. I picture it giving Victoria Hagan a seizure.
I actually like the walls as is and I usually hate wood paneling. It's so cabiny. And the wood looks kind of luscious, but that may be a trick.
What do the water rooms and windows look like? If part of the plan is to completely re-do them, then yes. I am assuming the foundation and plumbing is of course sound.

definitely yes. but only if you can keep the lampshade.
Yes.
Don't touch the wood beams but yes to white washing everything else. Or I could see white wash the walls, do the floors and beams in a dark stain.
Yes, do it.
hell to the YES. love it!
Yes. Love it.
If you don't - I will!
Uhmmm...yes! I'm attempting to renovate a weekend spot with not even 10% the charm of the "before" shot. Piece of cake for you. Great place!
Do it. Worry about what it looks like later, or not.

I'm going to make an offer. Stay tuned.
Keep us in the loop if your offer is accepted : )
I say paint everything, even the beams. The current wood stain would look terrible with white while sanding and putting a new stain on seems like more work.
Great find! I hope you get it.
